Inside Sales Prospecting Associate - EMEA

Job Description:

Lead Generation Specialist will engage in generating and qualifying prospective clients via multiple channels including but not limited to conferences/tradeshows, grant applicants, online resources, Nanostring web inquiries, and direct outreach prospecting activities.   The Lead Generation Specialist is also responsible for qualifying and categorizing prospective clients' interest, application need, timing and funding ability for Nanostring's technology solutions. The Lead Generation Specialist is expected to work closely with the field sales, marketing and application scientists throughout the "Commercial Operating System" plan.   This is an entry-level role with the potential for career advancement for high performers.


  • Assist Inside Sales and Field Sales with quote generation
  • Drive Nanostring instrumentation service sales
  • In collaboration with Marketing, generate quality prospect lists for new sales opportunities within Academic, Biotech and Pharma businesses by applying lead generation sales methodologies.
  • In collaboration with Marketing and Sales, qualify and categorize sales viability to each lead.
  • Meet or exceed quality and quantity based quotas for qualified leads passed to sales team.
  • Document all activities and interactions in CRM tool and participate in sales planning process with Sales.
  • In collaboration with Marketing, perform prioritized outbound call/email campaigns around key events including but not limited to trade shows, scientific symposia, special events or unique targeting campaigns
  • In collaboration with Sales and Marketing, design and develop new and modified lead generation programs/campaigns.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or technical field required. Genetics, molecular biology, chemistry strongly preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in commercial or lead generation role. B2B experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Google, Internet Explorer, Skype, and experience working with Microsoft Dynamics or a similar CRM database a plus.
  • Team player, flexible and interested in a company with lots of growth opportunity.​
